The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) held it’s annual fashion show benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Phoenix and the IIDA Southwest Chapter. The fashion show was located this year at the Phoenix Downtown Sheraton and all the stunning hair/makeup styling was accomplished by Toni&Guy. IIDA is a professional networking and educational association of more than 10,000 Members with over 30 Chapters around the world committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design and advancing interior design through knowledge.
Architects & Interior Designers, as well as deisgn students, located wtihin the IISA SW Chapter, are randomly paired with a color forecast theme and an industry manufacturer’s material and/or product. They are then challened to create and model a fashion that is created using only those colors/themes & materials. A panel of celebrity and industry judges will select the winners!
The design teams spend months crafting these amazing designs, using limited materials and resources. The final designs they create (some made of such unique materials such as mosaic tile or carpet yarn), which they model in a true fashion show setting, prove for a night that is fun and exciting for all who attend. -excerpt from Program.
